Christmas 2008

Hey everyone!

First of all Merry Christmas to everyone. Second of all I am new at this so bear with me while I learn and figure it out. LOL.

Third of all I would like to share my Christmas experience this year with everyone. Ive learned a lot this year. This was the first year when both the children completely understood what was going on and the magic was well magical. It was great. I learned so much through my childrens eyes this year it was unreal. I decided to do Christmas dinner for my family (all 18) of us at my house this year. What a treat that was. But, in the process, I was extremely stressed out about the last week before the dinner. My children, and Kevin, taught me without even knowing it that I need to quit sweating the little things. Let them go its going to be what its going to be no matter what and people can either enjoy it or not and if they dont then it is their problem and not mine. Give it my best and if it works out it does and if not o well.

Another thing I learned was nowhere in the Bible does it say that Jesus was born on December 25! See Kevin had to leave out on Christmas Eve this year to go back to work so we celebrated a day early, and it was great. We had a day full of just the four of us spending time together, and that is what Christmas is about family spending time with family and friends.

Ok real quick run down on dinner so Thursday morning rolls around I had all my casseroles together in the refrigerator all I had to do was put them in my oven when it was time to start cooking. All I had to do were my pies and set everything else out. Things were going great...the kids were playing in the yard with their new toys it was just a blessing. I walked into my laundry room for something to find myself standing in water...thats right my hot water heater busted! LOL. Thank goodness I had learned to not sweat the small stuff right! It was hilarious. I laughed it off threw some towels down and cleaned it up, called the landlord, and went on cooking. The only thing I have to say about it is...in about 20 years when we are all sitting down to eat we will look back on in and laugh our tails off!

Merry Christmas again to each and everyone of you and I hope and pray that you all had a magical, wonderful, fun filled experience this year like I did.

Love to all
